GI Joe and Tommy are unwrapping their 'loot' on Christmas day and it is harder to tell who is more excited, the big boys or the small ones! The Joes can't get over the fact they have received 1:6 scale tanks, jeeps, and what they wanted for those awesome military dioramas they have wanted to build! Now to keep the kids from destroying them!

Countdown to Christmas- Day 14~!
This is a study in red- with the Poppys and Christmas Barbie all around the tree . I cannot tell you how hard it was to get this simple photoshoot together. I have been shopping for small trees of different colors and wanted to do 'colorblock' photos- only the small trees in the stores have vanished- and the stores like Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Dollar Tree, are not re-stocking. Here it is only the 13th-14th of December and there are barely any ornaments on the shelves!
I was able to find this and another tree at Target which still believes in selling small Christmas trees! The ornaments, luckily, are from my stash. I will probably have to order any unusual colored trees online. This is a 'first' .

I have been watching too many Christmas movies- like the Christmas Carol- and this photo shoot was inspired by that movie- the Ghost of Christmas Past! lol !
Backstory of the Gothic Mansion Set-
The set is the front of the Gothic Mansion, when I had it set up on two 8 ft tables in my climate controlled storage unit, where I could work on my dioramas that were really large like this one. It measured 40 inches high, and about 50-60 inches wide. It also featured a staircase. One of my most intense and fun and exhausting dioramas to construct. Because of constraints on my time, I closed my climate controlled storage unit and had to break down many of these larger dioramas and bring them home, where I work on them in my garage studio/office with my husband. Not so much room for a diorama like this to be set up on an ongoing basis. I hope you have enjoyed the pics!
