Take a Little Trip to Walmart- My Life Elf dolls and Wizard of Oz dolls

Even though this blog is mainly a blog for 11-12 inch fashion dolls, I sometimes cannot resist the big dolls or large ladies. Perhaps it is a leftover childhood desire, or something that is appealing about the American Girls, Our Generation and their copycat cohort, My Life from Walmart. I was in Walmart today looking at the different Christmas seasonal items and decided to look at the dolls and toys, as I always do, and My Life has stepped up their game. They already have their adorable line of Harry Potter sets and props and dolls , but now they have come out with the Wizard of Oz dolls as well. These dolls run 39.99 to 49.99 , depending on the doll. My Walmart did not have the complete set, they only had Glinda the Good Witch , and Dorothy in African-American and Caucasian. They are simply adorable.

This shows the whole set on the back of the box. I think Dorothy was running 39.99 and Glinda was 49.99 They also had a costume so your child could dress up like Dorothy, and a miniature set of dolls, as well as the Ruby Red slippers set.

Glinda was especially well done and a lovely doll, I thought. The box art graphics were done nice as well. The other set available were the Elf dolls after the Will  Ferrell movie, "Elf" and they were also adorable. I can imagine a little girl getting this doll. Again, these were also a little more-? 49.99

Some of the My Life items such as the Pizza Oven, The Harry Potter greenhouse, the candy/ bakery carts, these items work well with Tonner and Gene Marshall and Franklin Mint 16 inch dolls, for dioramas. Especially if you are in a pinch budget wise and cannot afford the over the top expensive American Girl props. My Life as well as Our Generation (found at Target) keep the price tag where you can afford it for our 16 inch ladies!
