Countdown to Christmas- DAY FOUR!

I am running behind on Countdown to Christmas- so here is DAY FOUR!

Today I am featuring my Va. Fashion Doll Clubs' Christmas party, which took place at Tarrant's West in Richmond, Va. Very nice place and they were decorated for the holidays. We were asked to bring a doll in holiday attire. 

Betty Picket made our club purses as the club 'gift'. 

I took one of my Poppy Parker dolls in a handmade dress I purchased off of Ebay and red shoes, carrying a Christmas gift. She looked quite adorable.

Here is my doll Poppy next to Allison's doll, who is so adorable in an Etsy creation. 

Above are all the dolls lined up on two tables for photo ops with the members who came to the luncheon. I grabbed these photo ops before we had to gather for the 'big picture' of the members together. We had about 12-14 people at our luncheon plus dolls! We all had a great time!

This amazing HUGE Teddy Bear was in the room where our group had lunch! 

This huge guy greeted you at the entrance !

 Day Three continues photos, new , of my Christmas Barbie in front of one of our Smaller trees that holds our collection of White House Christmas ornaments. I love these ornaments and buy one each year, they are so elegant. She looks especially stunning in front of this tree with the red and blue and silver.

Countdown to Christmas- DAY ONE!

Welcome to our Countdown to Christmas! 

Countdown to Christmas always officially starts on December 1st and I usually begin with Christmas photos from the archives and throw in pics of our trees, cats, and fun stuff too. But mostly of our dolls. I have been doing this for many years, and enjoy it immensely. 

This year I hope to feature photos of the wonderful Christmas cards from Doll Divas Christmas  card exchange as well as The Studio Commissary ( a Gene Marshall doll message board) that I have participated on and did the Christmas card exchange last year. I have started to organize those card by the year in a large ring binder with clear plastic page sheets and it is wonderful to flip through the pages of the cards from the previous year as I get the new cards in. 

For December 1st, The first photo of our Countdown to Christmas is a favorite= Santa and Barbie are in front of the Gothic mansion. This is a favorite Christmas Barbie of mine. One of my goals is to eventually collect all of the Christmas /holiday Barbies.

Happy Thanksgiving!

 This post is one day early, as tomorrow is Thanksgiving. (I will be too busy enjoying our homemade Southern cornbread dressing and turkey and cranberry tart to stop and post...) so here are some new Thanksgiving photos with some of new Gene dolls, and some old photos from the archives...

The Gene in blue I acquired at this years doll show, she is an Integrity doll as are the other two and the Tyler Wentworth, which I acquired at the same doll show. Trent is Formal Introduction which I won at an auction about a year an a half ago. 

The table is not Bespaq, but the chairs are. I made the turkey and the cake. The foods in front of the dolls are Rement. I was hard pressed to find plates that would fit Gene, I am still hunting for proportional plates and glasses that will not cost more than my own full size china!
