A Fairy in the Garden...

I let a fairy out to let play in my garden today...

I took my Fairyland Realpuki Soso, Wren out for some photo ops today since it had the perfect light, the Irises in the front yard had bloomed, and I was feeling better. My lithotripsy went well, and I had two full days almost pain free. No stones have passed yet, but I'm hopeful.

Posing these little four inch dolls is precarious at best. They are ball joined dolls and their hands are magnetized so the hands can come off at the slip off a wink. Add to that a wig that can come off too. Very difficult to pose. Their feet luckily can be posed onto a metal disc if you wish them to stand as they have magnets in their feet, BUT, sometimes you don't always wish them to stand.

You sometimes want them to pose like lazy fairies you see in those winsome pictures.

Like this---

I tried to get her to stand next to flowers, but the grass hid her, and she was blurry.  I would love to get a couple of more of these little darlings. I want so much to do a miniature photo book using these dolls and miniatures.

Here are some of the photo bombs-

Though the last two aren't that bad, the iris in the last one looks like the train of a dress on her, don't you think?? looks a little like she is 'floating' in mid air. Maybe I could photoshop some wings on her. The other one looks like she is hiding in the grass. Wren has a sidekick, Marigold, a bird, who helps her deliver the mail for Finch Express to all of the dolls in the doll world. Right now she is having too much fun to worry about mail, clothing or any of those worrisome things. She's enjoying the flowers and the grass and the sunshine, lol.
Have a great weekend!

Tiny cars....

With the holiday season there are so many cute photos of dolls, doing holiday things.
One of my friends on Facebook and Flicker had purchased these Hallmark Kiddie car classics for her tiny bjd's. Of course, Wren had to have the happy jingle bells firetruck.

She is sickenly cute in it, it matches her little pj's I made for her. I'm thinking of taking off her wig and putting a little green cap on that I made, and then she would match it.
It also fits Tommy and Kelly, Liddle Kiddles and Felix Brownies or Puki Pukis.

Tommy didn't fit all the way in because of his shoes. The other Kiddie Classics fit the tiny dolls better. Here is an example of Amelia Thimble in kiddie classic
Just too cute for words. Hallmark ornaments make great props for the tinies and also make great toys for a 1:6 scale toy shop.  I would love to do a 1:6 scale dollhouse/miniature shop in my town. sigh, so many dioramas to build, so little room!!
Been very busy so it's been hard to take many Christmas photos, and I am reluctant to take down Santa's library/study just yet. I have wanted to do another video but during the week it will be tough. All for now-

Sewing, sewing....

I did two sewing projects last night and need to continue on more. I finally buckled down and did Mrs. Claus' skirt. I cheated on her outfit. Nancy's doll things on Ebay made the little Christmas vest, and the white ruffled blouse was from a Silkstone clothing pack. I got her little glasses at the GLOSS convention. I made her skirt from red fabric in those fabric squares for .97 cents. (You would not believe how hard it is to find approriate scaled Christmas fabric.)
I also buckled down and sewed my Realpuki SoSo (Wren) some Christmas pajamas out of a Christmas sock from Michael's. I still need to add some buttons or pom poms to the front for her. I was surprised that they came out so well, it has been a long time since I sewed something this small.

For those unaware in the fashion doll world, Wren is a Realpuki ball jointed doll. Their feet have magnets in them as do their hands and she stands on a small metal doll stand without support because of those magnets- I took the wire part out of the back of it. (sorry about the very visible price tag.) Her hair is a wig made of mohair.

I need to make some pajamas or sweaters for Maizie and Dixie, my Felix Brownies as well.

Mrs. Claus was busy yesterday with her photo ops with Santa and overseeing the elves working on the assembly line.

Well the elves are pensive and under alot of pressure! That's alot of dollhouses to get ready before Christmas!
Still waiting on the door component which should arrive today or Monday.
Lastly, here is a display in my dining room created with the rest of the mini trees and one string of lights. The deer are from my mother's vintage Christmas collection.

In my next post I will explain a little more about the storyline of Wren and Finch Express and her role in Santa's workshop. She normally takes care of all the mail for the dolls with Marigold (a tiny sparrow who delivers the mail with the help of Wren) and now has volunteered to help Santa with all of his letters this year. More pics coming up soon!
