Dorothy Coleman Doll Club February Meeting

I attended the Dorothy Coleman Doll club February Valentine's day meeting yesterday and we had our Region 11 Director Sandra Moore attending and it was a  pleasure to meet her and have her at the meeting. Our program was on the Mibs doll by club member Laurie. This was the doll the program was on.

She is a hard plastic doll and the company was started in 1909 in Germany. She was over 100 years old and in remarkably good condition and belonged to Laurie who had brought her for the program.( She is the doll in the blue dress with the pinafore on.) The other two dolls were show and share from other members.

We also brought valentine's to share and had a craft time where we decorated our Valentine's day bags in either a monkey or owl design and put our candies or cards in - that was a fun time. So many goodies! So onto the dolls-

These were Ramona's dolls at the entrance, lovely vintage Valentine's and antique dolls

A Virtual Doll Convention Ellowyne that belonged to Arlyn

An FAO Schwartz Tyler Wentworth and Marley Wentworth that also belonged to Arlyn, and my Virtual Doll Convention Grace and Ann Fitzpatrick

A Gothic Bride Cissy that belonged to Marlene

Customized Blythes and a Sunny Days Anne that belonged to another club member

I know one of these dolls is a Jill in the red evening gown, a younger member brought the Clouse? bullfighter doll, Ramona had the little doll in the dark red dress. The doll in the crocheted knit skater outfit was a Mary Hayes? doll that came with a book and I forget the name of the blonde haired doll- who is all original. Both won ribbons at convention.

The Ginny doll was brought by Allison, one of her first purchases as a collector and the Barbie in the red dress was of course, made by her. Her outfits are so amazing!

This Wendy doll so adorable was brought by Sandra Moore dressed in a custom dress by a custom dressmaker. She is so adorable dressed for Valentine's day!
