Dining room done...

Well, the dining room for the dinner party is done. I had ordered one of those Gloria sets on Ebay that is $6 plus $9 of shipping- and finally finished the repaint. The only problem I can see wrong with the dining room set is that it is rather low for 1:6 scale dolls, the table will do, but the chair s will also. In the dollhouse, the drawing room doubles as the dining room, and it looked awesome when I was done. Here are the pics-

Suzy Goose set accessoriezed!

Well, my repaint on the pieces is done. I decided to leave the wallpaper alone in the armoire- it is so awesome that the original paper is still in there intact. I had received my 2 barbie basics packs I bought from Barbie Collector .com so I wouldn't lost my reward, and used them and some other items to accessorize! The items now reside in the playscale dollhouse in the smaller bedroom- remember when Skipper was going to have her own room?? Yeah, I have the bunk bed set for Skipper, that is another repaint project waiting to happen!lol.

Currently, I am working on my 2nd project for a diorama I am planning, my dolls having dinner in the Grand dining room. I just received some ofhte Gloria furniture off of Ebay and only have a few more touchups to do on that, before I can get started on that story line with my dolls eating.

My new Yard sale find- Suzy Goosey set!

This morning I was in the mood to go to a few yard sales near my shop, since it was early on Saturday morning, and the weather was great. Driving to my old neighborhood near the elementary school- called Lakeside Elementary, was a very large garage/yard sale. I saw many things I had to pass up- but could not pass up this vintage Suzy Goose set- the armoire, vanity stool, and chest!










As you can see, it has alot of yellowing and staining on the exterior of hte armoire, yet the stool is in mint condition. I paid $15 for all three pieces! I figured that was about $5 per piece, no cracks or very bad staining, and I could afford to repaint the armoire at this price!

I posted the pics on Doll Divas message board, and Diva Details Audrey gave me some great tips, as did other board members on how they painted their pieces. Painting them wasn't the actual problem, but I hesitated because the original wallpaper in the armoire was intact, and it didn't seem like it was coming out. I may just sticky tack some miniature wallpaper over it, on a piece of posterboard, so the original paper is preserved.

I have been collecting items for a scene recently, for a storyline in the one sixth scale dollhouse- Luchia and Career girl Barbie have decided to team up and sell bags, purses, shoes on Ebay with their new laptop computer that came with the barbie basics sets I ordered! This armoire will probably be in the girls' dressing room (originally meant to be Skipper's bedroom!) & one of hte French tables will be used as a laptop desk. I have always wanted to do a shop scene with my dolls, but never had the time nor the props!

Lady Agatha has had a really hard day....

Agnes: A nice long drag on a Marlboro is what I need...maybe the Marlboro man too....

Agnes: Wow, what a b@#! of a day! I need a drink and a drag wouldn't hurt either!

Once again, my new Festive Decadence Agnes is making her own statement. Right now she's 'thinking' of moving into the villa- her cousin the Baroness can't convince her that it's for the best.. but you know Aggies- they gotta rule the roost!

I myself have had a hard few weeks, what with moving the store, and everything in it- including the one sixth scale dollhouse. Right now it is a mess- and needs to be restored to its party pad glory....in the meantime, I took some tips from FDQ in Focus- that is one marvelous book! and decided to play yesterday. My thanks goes to Em'lia for her tutorial on how to make cigarettes- check out Em'lia's blog Creazione in the blogs that I follow- her tutorial is in her flicker album.

Agnes giftset & fashion arrived today!

Festive Decadence Agnes von Weiss arrived today, and this is my first giftset since becoming a member of the W club a couple of years ago. I am really excited they decided to do an Aggie as the giftset, I missed out on the last one.

So of course I set up some props, but my other Agnes couldn't let Haute Couture come into the Maison de la Royale without grabbing, and High Tide Vanessa joined in also.










The fashions were utterly gorgeous, I also bought the Festive decadence, and the quality was amazing!

I know it's been a long while since I posted here on the blog- and now I have something to post about! She will definitely be figuring in a new photo story I want to write, with my two Aggies. I have decided that the 'new' Agnes should be renamed as 'Lady' Agatha, Agnes' cousin from the UK, (haven't decided where yet...)
