Va. Fashion Doll Club Mystery Mini-Conention!

On Sunday, our Va. Fashion Doll club members who are not attending the Barbie convention this week, usually have their own mini-convention at a local resturant. This year we had it at Casa Italia, in Henrico , Virginia. It was excellent.
The theme this year, was 'Clue' for our mini-convention, based off the big' convention's mystery theme.

These are photos' of Janice's vintage 1940's Clue game. It was so intrigueing, as I can only remember maybe playing this game possibly twice in my life.
Here is the centerpiece doll-

The doll, the stand, the sign, and the book, all went together. The doll is holding an actual 'Clue' game that was a keychain provided by Jodie- and Jodie made the dress with fabric. I thought she was really sweet.
Anna won the centerpiece.
We were instructed to bring a doll dressed as a character from the game, provided with a 'weapon'. I brought Mrs. White the housekeeper with a candlestick.

Anna, who won the centerpiece doll prize, brought Mr. Carson-

Mr. Carson the prime suspect- next to Mr. Body- the victim-
other attendees to the crime-

Anna, our club member who won the prize!

Photos of our fabulous italian food and desserts.

Some of the table gifts- a sheath dress and purse from Allison- plants from Jodie and Janice in their tote bags. Received lots of other great items too!
Had lots of other cool items- more to come! Lisa

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July! (belated post!)

I was busy on the holiday and managed to take some new photos of the Gene and Tonner girls that day in their holiday attire out front near our flag. This year we managed to plant our potage garden around the flag pole. This contains our bell and cayenne peppers, our Mr. Lincoln and White Floribunda roses, and our two different varieties of Marigolds, as well as our bachelor buttons/ cornflowers. A potage garden is a garden that contains both vegetables and flowers, in a decorative and useful / pleasing manner. My husband and I have been consulting French and English gardening books and the Flag pole garden was a small way to work on one of these small beds.

But back to Fourth of July! More dolls enjoying the holidays!

Happy Fourth of July!
