Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day! This happy photo is from the archives. May all the dads, stepdads, granddads, uncles be appreciated out there.
If you have a dad out there still living, give him a call while you still can. Dads are special and sometimes all they need is to hear your voice.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Top of the morning to ye! And I hope you have all the luck of the Irish come your way....
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
PJ, SKipper, GI Joe, and the Poppys are enjoying wearing the green and eating cake and Shamrock cookies!
Annabelle and Marie Terese are also having a St. Patrick's day tea , and like Skipper and the Poppys, have acquired some new St. Patrick's day attire...
Marie Terese's dress was inspired by Queen Victoria's 'Shamrock' dress from the Masterpiece episode when she visited Ireland on 'Victoria' (one of my favorite shows. ) I must admit I expected more shamrocks on the dress than just the edging.
Marie Terese's dress is suited more to a young girl in her time, and I made the skirt a little longer than usual. Sort of garden dress for walking on the hills and dales, lol.

If you look closely, you can see Marie Terese is holding her new lapdog, Pugdog. (this is a barbie beauty secrets dog that I just took the crown off of.)
The various pets of Annabelle and Marie Terese. the Famous 'Mops' in the basket, Pugdog and newest, the brindle bulldog, Jack. I found him at AC Moore.
Annabelle's poodles. The standing grey poodle was also found at AC Moore, haven't yet named him.

Happy Hinamatsuri!
I am a day late and a dollar short, but better late than never.
On the third day of the third month in Japan, is known as the Girls day festival, or Hinamatsuri, or the Dolls Festival. Ceremonial dolls are brought out and placed on platforms covered with red cloth, representing the Emperor and Empress, the lords and ladies, the musicians, and the accessories of the court. Special foods are served, and the Tea ceremony is performed. I love setting this up but this year I did not set up my display ahead of time nor get my Asian dolls out like I had planned to do. I do have my photos from previous years.

La Patissirie....
We have had sub zero weather here in Virginia. Here where I live, there has been snow and more snow. I could really use sunny weather and the beach and seashells no shoes , and the beach life right now. As you can tell, I am from the South and hate cold weather. I haven't paid much attention to the Patissirie, so I decided to people it and do some scenes with it. There is still some work to be done with it on the window treatments and more foods. I have been busy since business has picked up with LeoPaul & Associates my husband's boiler company, this kind of weather keeps us busy, and me busy as well. In my down time I had a little time to take pics and assess what needed to be done for the dollhouse. Also, Lady of the White Woods has shipped! She should be here soon!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Currently have been up like an excited kid at Christmas, just like when I was small- at about 3:30 am or 4 am. Cooking the roast with mushrooms, onions, peppers and potatoes and a thin gravy, having breakfast, looking at presents. Drinking coffee out of Christmas mugs. I love that Christmas feeling, or joy de vivre, if you will. I don't know if I will be able to do more posts this week, so am leaving you wish some new pics of the GI Joes and their sons Tommy and Darrin, opening what every GI Joe collector wants- the GI Joe jeep, helicopter or the tank!
These are two of my GI joes from my collection, I have about four or five. The one in the GI Joe shirt is the 50th anniversary Joe from the collector club. The little tank, helicopter, suv, and jeep were in a set for $3 at the family dollar and resemble perfect 1/6 scale replicas. It looks like Joe will have to share with the kids, much to his disgruntlement.
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!~Lisa
