New furniture arrivals...

Had to post about my recent score on Ebay that just arrived yesterday....a Reading Deluxe table and chairs set! It only has three chairs; but no matter, I love love love it- especially the deal I found it at! The same seller was selling the schoolteacher's lab desk, I think or teacher desk. These items all came yesterday. I am really beginning to acquire a school stash. So far I have three desks, the globe, a little tub that turns on its top, bookcase nook, and a little playdesk and chair set that will fit Kelly. I need more desks, and now, a chair for the teacher. May use one of the Reading Deluxe chairs. I would love to do a schoolroom diorama set for the future. Right now collecting the items for that. The shelf where this stash is has many items on it, spare stands, a leopart chaise lounge, dolls and other props not in use but nearby on my prop shelf if I need them with spare dolls.
Enjoy!

Random pictures of Barbietown fun...

I haven't had much time since my dolly playdate with the Fun Four as we call ourselves, but took some random pictures, "just because"....I like to play! I am thinking my old repainted Ken is picking up the chicks with his new Mini Coupe!

I love the way the car looks outside of the sweet shop...speaking of that project, I still need to create a door for it...I just remembered that looking at these pics!
So I took some more pics, this time of my Walking Lively Barbie from 1971- or 1972, can't remember, in one of the vintage negligees in the mansion's beautiful bedroom.

Part of these photos were done with a flash, a little bright but a little better as far as color goes. My Sleeptime repro looks adorable with her- Walk Lively still walks, but I hesitate to put her on her stand since she is so old. Can you tell I finally tidied the Baroness' bedroom? gasp! I know she will be amazed after dinner with Lady Agatha, her cousin. (I think Lucia is trying to hint she is looking for another job other than the maid, LOL..)
mini McDonald's in Barbietown was packed- and it looks like Prince William was a customer!

It seems the McDonald family has hired a new worker- Olivia! She's quite young but wanted a summer job, as she is saving up to purchase baton lessons. Ricky is in the background trying to salvage an order he has botched up with the impatient Anja. (I think he gave her a greasy hamburger instead of the salad she ordered, lol)
Prince William (iincognito) appears to be waiting in line behind Bob Greene for his order, while Willow chats with one of the new town inhabitants.
Enjoy the pics!~Lisa

Dolly Playdate!

So some doll friends came over, and we had a dolly playdate. We like to just get together, a few of us, and bring a doll, any doll, (mostly fashion dolls, W club, Tonner, Misakis, BLythe, ) anything from our collections or the 'new' dolls we haven't unboxed, get some pizza, and have a playdate. For the three or four us, though we can usually make our own hours , within reason, dolly playdates are big stress relievers for the three or four of us. Today it was just Karon and Sandra and I, Marina couldn't make it.

Sandra brought her Brad Pitt Tonner, (darn, I forgot to get pics of this guy- he is a gorgeous repaint!) and Karon brought some of her dolls she had received but hadn't deboxed. She brought one of her grails she received, and that doll was lovely- it was a convention doll. Sandra also brought some doll sofa sets she had bought on Ebay, and the dolls all got together. Karon brought her W Club entrance diorama set, I put Natalia in front of it, but she wasn't dressed right, so she got thrown out of the club, is what Karon said. LOL...this is the kind of fun we have when we play...  Warning: doll nudity

pictures aren't that great, but you get the idea. I told Karon I could have kicked myself for not buying the backdrop when it was on sale.

They were delighted with my Blythe, and Karon had brought her Misaki Red Rabbit, so we hadher drop in on the Mad Hatter's tea party.

Red Rabbit did not know what to think of the 'wubba chickens' but she looked like she enjoyed them! She is quite tall, so we did some manuvering to get her at the Rement table with Alice. I adore this Misaki, and wish I could find her at a reasonable price, she is ADORABLE.

After that, we set up the scene with Sandra's sofa and table set, and got some of the new dolls out for socializing...it seems at first they were getting toknow each other, or acquainted...

Then it seems, Rocksteady Romain liked Erin, and Poppy was getting comfy with one of Karon's suave guys, and Natalia was really liking Count Adrian...and then!

eek! dolly orgy!

the three most shocking were Natalia- she's a maneater! lol...I told Sandra there must be something in that dolly Re-ment champagne they were drinking!

Be sure to hide your eyes- warning dolly plastic nudity!LOLL...

This is what happens when you get together pizza, soda, dolls and women who collect dolls! lol...
We had a great time, and are planning some more doll dates for Halloween, which will have a set theme for the next two dolly playdates. More to come on that later. Enjoy the pics!

Dinner with the Baroness...

It has been a while since I have been able to do any sort of dioramas, scenes, etc in Barbietown or Maison de la Royale for a while now. In preparation for some of my doll club buds who are coming out for another playdate, I decided to tidy the doll room and set up some scenes.
My favorite all time Fashion Royalty doll I have is Agnes Von WEiss in M Concerto. I don't know why, don't know if it is because I won her in a contest on the W club forum, but she is my favorite. So I decided that she needed some attention, as did the other Aggie in my collection. So they dressed up for dinner this evening, with Lucia as the maid in attendance and the men ready to snap to attention when either of the Agnes' feel they need some adoring males, lol.

I am sorry for the blurry pictures, even though I tried to backlight the scene, my pictures are coming out a little grainy.
I used the French courses Re-ment sets, the flower arrangement is a small 1:12 scale flower arrangement I won in a drawing at a miniature show in 2005 at Tyson's corner. The tablecloth is simply a large dinner napkin. Overall, I think the scene looks lovely. I simply hate this plastic Fortune toys table and chairs, they are too low. I had to raise the table up on a piece of wood riser, which made everything look more in scale. Agnes' white armchair is 1:6 scale Bespaq, a gift from my mentor, Pitt Ginsburg, and one of my most treasured pieces.
I have more pics to take, and finally purchased the Ken's mini coupe at Walmart on sale-$19!! I haven't yet taken it out of its box, but hope to have some great photos soon.
Enjoy!
