New dolls and Thrift store haul!

I had a fabulous day this Saturday morning going to Odd Balls Collectibles & Clairs Antiques  outdoor flea market they have once a month in their parking lot outside the store. They opened at 8 am this morning and the store was opened as well. I did not find very much outside except a cute stuffed little Beanie Baby stuffed flamingo for $3 that I am going to give as a gift for someone in a couple of months who collects flamingos- always on the hunt for cute gifts and great bargains. My greatest squee! came when I went inside. Odd Balls is the place to go if you collect ornaments, glass, action figures, Christmas or Halloween blowmolds, vintage- anything! or dolls, or Christmas villages- they have a whole booth on that alone- as well as Barbie! In that booth I found two Christmas Barbies- 2005 and 2010 - as well as a Madame Alexander 16" inch AA Paris "Greed" 2003 doll with her original tag! Her shoes were in rough shape, missing the heels, and she did not have her accessories- this was a doll that was part of three doll set, from a convention I believe, such as UFDC, and it was Betrayal (Alex) who came with a gun, Greed- who came with a candlestick- Desire- who came with a dagger- and there was a much coveted 1920's maid uniform in a package that came with a spilled blood/ poison drink . There is an example of this set on Ebay you can see here-

Below are photos of the doll I purchased today - she was only $40!

My other two finds at this great store were two gorgeous Christmas Barbies I had been looking for and decided to go ahead and get. The prices were less than if I looked with shipping.
2005 Happy Holidays Barbie Bob Mackie

And next, 2010 Happy Holidays Barbie

I also stopped in at Michael's because I was looking for those small pumpkins which would be perfect for Rickie and Scooter and Skipper for Halloween, as well as Tutti and Todd and Kelly and Tommy for trick or trick scenes. They didn't have them- everything for Halloween in miniature and all the decorations are 40-50% off. I purchased some little bottles , a neat haunted veiled statue and also this cute Alice in Wonderland Cheshire cat statue.

Isn't it adorable? They had more neat Alice items, but I couldn't break my budget, which I already had. Here he is with my Mattel Mad Hatter and  my W Club Alice.

I also have 2012 Happy Holidays Barbie to show you, she just arrived, but she needs to be deboxed and set up in a scene for another post. So much to do! Narrowing down the Christmas Barbie list and have very few that will need to be purchased for that large photo I am planning. Enjoy! Lisa
