To the Market...

I did a little playing with some of the new dolls, and my marketstall, which I haven't really played around with. I have another one I am working on, an on again/off again project that will display the fruits and veggies/cheeses as my goal was to have a market place. To the Fair Poppy took a liking to Ollie Lawson who just arrived, or I should say, Detective Oliver Lawson, so they went strolling in the alley marketplace.

Groovy Galore , I haven't quite picked a name for her yet. She hasn't been undressed yet and the name Candy still is floating about in my head. Maybe if I get her out of that striped dress something else will pop up.

To the Fair Poppy (Patty) just has to make a scene and get some me time, she's that kind of doll. Wants all eyes on her. Those new Barbie fashionista shoes fit their feet pretty good.

Hope you enjoyed the pics, and the marketstall shopping!~Lisa

Beautiful diorama Lisa, your Poppies are real stars (and the guys are so handsome!)
You're so crafty, love the breads.

Lovely photos! When I first looked at this page, for a split second I thought that photo was of real people, lol. Great diorama as always!

This is great! Did you build the stall too?

Hi Muff, no the stall is one of those little plant holders from Michael's that was outrageously priced at $34 but went on sale for a 60-70% off one day and I got it for like $13, I got another one for $9.99 at another sale. I bashed it by glueing the little $1 crates that Michael's sells in the woodie section on the bottom of it to give it height. (I carry a doll in my purse sometimes so I am sometimes given to playing in craft stores with their products to see if it will work in a diorama setting before I buy it to bash it into what I want) lol...It is made with a little space in it to hold little pot seedlings and you put it on a shelf I suppose. It would be ok for tiny bjd's or a short doll like skipper but not the tall fashion royalty or the action figure dolls and it wouldn't look to scale without the height of the crates underneath it.
I saw an actual fruit stand rather rickety in the carolinas while traveling and wanted to reproduce it for my dolls, raised up on a series of crates and cinderblocks and thought, that would be so cool to do and immediately began figuring out how I could do it.
thank you all for the kind comments!

Great idea to have a market stall. Farmer's markets are so popular. The pictures turned out great. I can feel the sun from here.
