Ellowyne's Kitchen....

Vintage Tea Ellowyne has stolen my heart...and alot of my display space.

Let's face it. The 16 inch gals are enticing. Whether you are into the Avant Guardes, with their high end fashion wear by Jason Wu, Kingdom Doll, or Sybarites, where you must donate your body part, and have super fast high speed internet to snag one of those limited edition beauties, these lovelies tear into your wallets temporarily, but for the most part, whether it be Ellowyne & her buddies, Deja Vu, Tonner's Tyler Wentworth, Evangeline Ghastly, and the like, the 'big' girls take up space. So do their props and their displays!

Ellowyne needed a kitchen, and of course, being the prop whore that I am, I obliged. I went to the storage unit and pulled out my American Girl stove from the historical Kit Line. I am not sure if it is still carried, as they have recently re-vamped the historical line into the lame I believe or some such nonsense for little girls. It's American Girl, what can I say. But the props for 1:3 and 1:4 scale dolls - bjd's, and fashion dolls work very well.

This setup is temporarily sitting on a four foot table but will probably be taken down soon. I have it up just for display as I have some more food items I want to showcase too. The table and chairs are also American Girl, from Molly's retired line. The fridge is old, vintage. The pink cake is a commission I just sent off to a client.
Enjoy, and hopefully I can get some pics of Hippy Dippy Poppy Parker next! Lisa

"Prop whore" I got a giggle out of that! I think those AG items look so good with your new Ellowyne and even fit her color scheme perfectly! Man, I have my eye on that Lisette in the same set..I just love them both. I remember when I bought my first 16 inch Tonner doll (Nu Mood Jess) I was so surprised by how much bigger she was when I took her out of the box. Pictures just don't do them justice! 12 inch dolls are so much easier, but the 16 inch gals just demand your attention! :)

LOL..Excuse my vulgarity, that is a term I picked up on the doll divas or the den of angels message boards when referring to props amongst us diorama builders. You should see my doll room. It's not really a doll room - it's more of a diorama room with dolls all over the place cavorting amongst the dollhouse, and the props and the diorama town. Peeking out of tubs, laying on tubs waiting to be dressed, lol. Over two years ago I made a conscious decision to devote my collection except for my sybarite, my two american girls, my msd soulkid bjd , to devote my focus on 1:6 scale figures- fashion royalty, barbie, momoko, hot toys, as the reasoning was- I didn't have room for Tonner, and the big girls even though I loved and their props. Even though I wanted them.

Well that didn't last long this year. Tonner made me give in. I sold my Tonners years ago as I didn't really like their articulation. I used to have an Ellowyne. Used her for years. Never could see what was the big deal about her. Liked her but she wasn't my favorite doll. This one takes my breath away- I'm in love. I haven't felt that way about a doll in a long time- probably since one of my poppys- Starlight Poppy who I really love too, and pillow talk who is a favorite for some reason. Now I can't get enough of this doll- she is my muse and I am attempting to figure out how to bring her friends home to keep her company! How weird is that???
So someone in the herd may have to go. I'm trying to decide now, lol...

She's so gorgeous, I totally understand why you couldn't resist her even if she's a larger girl! Lovely!!!

I didn't realize there were so many props for the larger dolls. That cake looks yummy - like the pink velvet cakes.
