La Patissirie....

We have had sub zero weather here in Virginia. Here where I live, there has been snow and more snow. I could really use sunny weather and the beach and seashells no shoes , and the beach life right now. As you can tell, I am from the South and hate cold weather. I haven't paid much attention to the Patissirie, so I decided to people it and do some scenes with it. There is still some work to be done with it on the window treatments and more foods. I have been busy since business has picked up with LeoPaul & Associates my husband's boiler company, this kind of weather keeps us busy, and me busy as well. In my down time I had a little time to take pics and assess what needed to be done for the dollhouse. Also, Lady of the White Woods has shipped! She should be here soon!

Wow! I love all of the details in your little bakery. The red velvet cake looks delicious. Up in NY the wind has been relentless these past few days. Normally I don't mind the snow, but it is SO COLD! I am hoping to be able to move to the South someday. :) Beautiful photos!

Thank you! The wind is awful down here too. We get the cold but not like this. It hasn't been like this in over 40+ years since 1966 since I was 1! Normally the winters are a little mild, with some snow but not much, if any. Thank you for the kind comments.
Now time to gear up the bakery for Easter!!

La Patissirie is looking great. Gotta get those warm pastries before hunkering down for the night.

And, OMG, it is so cold! Here in Michigan we are experiencing such cold wind chill factors that our schools have been closed for the last 2 days. The kids had Monday and Tuesday off due to mid-winter break, so they only went to school on Wednesday! We have also had a lot of snow.

Seeing La Patissirie makes me think of the photo stories you used to do. Any plans to pick those up again? I know I would really enjoy checking in on the lives of your little people!

Hi Phyllis. I have been wanting to get organized enough to do the photostories of the dolls again. I left off with Ryan and Poppy getting engaged. And Ricky staying out all night with Becky and pissing off Willow who was helping him out with tutoring him. And Ryan was thinking of closing McDonald's diner to start a 'real' restuarant. Poppy was thinking of opening an art store or scrapbook store and there it left off. I have never picked it back up because real life got in the way of my dolls lives...and I have been wanting to get back to the dolls stories which is why I have been building the dioramas to get it back in gear for those dioramas. Been trying to figure out how to pick up the threads of those stories and weave them into the dioramas now, maybe with temp dioramas and the doll town now. I've gotten a lot of inspiration from the way Van's doll treasures and Jatman does their photo doll stories as well as One sixth sense, Miranda does. My problem is keeping the story going, keeping the suspense going. So I have been thinking of writing the stories down and deciphering it when I build and let it take off from there. Johanna of Jatman stories does it that way and it seems to work. I may pick up with Poppy and Ryan and go from there! First Poppy will need a wedding gown, and wedding attire!More sewing and diorama building and collecting- woo hoo!

I love seeing the progress on La Patissirie.

Stories? Oh goody! More ... when you can.

It's blipping cold in Philly, too. I'm native and usually, I don't mind the cold. This winter though - grrr!

DZana, the coldest I like it is in the 50's, enough for a sweater or a light jacket. This morning we had the fireplace , the propane heater going and the furnace going! Our electric bill will be lower, but wow. I was sitting in a blanket as a write this. Too cold. Give me my clam diggers and my deck shoes any day. :) Some bbq and a tall glass of lemonade, and a warm summer day. ahh , warmth. lol...

i would like to do a wedding. A real dolly wedding ..with all the dolly drama...cake, bachelor party, reception, honeymoon, meeting the parents, you name it. a really nice dolly wedding in a church. I have been trying to figure out how to do that like Vanessa did - the biggest thing is those benches. The church would probably be a diorama that takes up my dining room table. that's big. and tempting. And trying to figure out how to explain it to the hubster....lol....

Love seeing all this hustle and bustle! You're attention to detail is impressive.

As someone born in Florida, the mere idea of snow shivers me timbers. I detest being cold and don't see how people stand it.
