Yesterday I had some playtime working on clearing off the dining room table
for a large diorama I want to create. Jatman Tutorials is one of my go-to places for ideas on really large scale correct sites when I'm having problems figuring out what I want. In this case, I want to do a mystery type photo story complete with a murder in a museum type of deal. It has been rattling about in my head for a while now. Yesterday , I worked on the main floor piece as my tiles had curled and I was weighing them down on the cardboard with glue and books.
I did a little inventory to see what props and backdrops I had, redressed my Johnny Depp- he is such a cool doll- he got into some questionable poses with Mademoiselle Jolie who appears to be a man-eater which John welcomed!
and also appears to have shocked Vanessa! lol....
I am also not a Superbowl Sunday fan....in my previous years was kind of forced to watch the Superbowl, never have been a fan of football, basketball, etc. I like golf & tennis but I like to play it, not watch it. The only Olympics I watched was when Tanya Harding and Nancy Whatever her name got her knee kicked out from underneath her over fifteen or twenty years ago, lol.. & that was because of the drama. I love horse racing but again, like to be there watching it. As a kid my dad took me and my mother and my great aunt to the wrestling matches on Saturday nights- she would get dressed up, this little old lady in her 70's and go with us to the Coliseum. (it was the 80's folks) and it was fun. This was when Wresting had the WWA, NWA and so on, with Dusty Rhodes, Rick Flair and the Four Horseman, Ivan Kolaf, and all the oldies. On Superbowl Sunday I usually go in and try to watch the cool commercials or the half time show but since Janet Jackson exposed herself I wasn't in any hurry even though I like Katy Perry- DownTown Abbey was on last night and it was good. lol....so not a sports fan on this end.
I did however made some cigarettes for Johnny. He is so cool with sunglasses and cigarettes in hand.
Cigarettes are easy to make. Take toothpicks and cut them down to size. Paint them gold and white on each end after sanding the ends. Dip one end in glue (the end that lights) and gently take a wisp of cotton and roll it onto the end of the toothpick. Be sure your wisp of cotton is not too thick, you want it to gently resemble smoke so it will look like it is floating off the cigarette. I used gold and white paint for my cigarettes. To get the cigarette to sit in John's fingers I had to take a xacto knife and split his fingers on his hands, Mattel molds the ken hands together, so you may have to do this on your dolls hands. The fashion royalty and poppy hands are more open and expressive.
Will post more when I am further along....

Great post! Johnny is so dreamy :)
Smoking is a bad habit - but Johnny looks so good doing it, I feel conflicted mentioning it, lol.
