September is here- and I have been so busy! Between going to club meetings, dolls arriving, sorting through my craft supplies, work, and attempting to take doll photos- the weeks have flown by.
Our September meeting for the Va Fashion Doll club took place at Linda's house on September 8th on Sunday. This was our raffle doll meeting, which raises money for our Christmas party and our celebration for Barbie's birthday. We were also having members report who had attended the July Barbie convention.
Below is one of the backdrops the members received which was reversible, and we were all asked to bring a doll to take in front of the resort/ living room backdrop. I brought Suited for Travel Poppy Parker since she had that classic
1960's look that was requested. Other members brought really lovely dolls.
I should say the tea cart, the Kitchen set were not items received at convention, those belong to Allison and Debbie. Allison purchased the retro kitchen set on Etsy. She also dressed most of the the dolls herself.
Next up, were the raffle dolls-

Next up- was Linda's fabulous doll room! So beautiful and what a fab doll room!
I adored her Barbie Christmas tree, I am still working on my own and accumulating my collection of Hallmark Barbie Christmas ornaments. My dream is to have a 7 foot tall pink tree that sits on a rotater in my larger doll room in front of the window near my Christmas Barbie shelf - a dream, as yet unrealized.
Next- onto the goodies- refreshments. At this meeting I took a homemade squash pie.
We also had games- with 'Barbie Bingo' which was fun too, winning prizes-
Shown are the bingo cards that Debbie created and eventually everyone won something and we played until all the 'goodies' were received.
Show and tell was fun- Allison showed us her rare No. #1 that she had acquired from the original owner. This doll came over in the first wave shipment from Japan, and her head and body are handpainted.
Holding a real no. 1 Barbie was just the finishing touch to a wonderful day and seeing her in such pristine condition. It was a wonderful day spending that time with doll friends.
Hoping to post more on the new W Club doll that just arrived ! Stay tuned, same dolly time, same dolly channel!
