Faraway Forest Water Sprite Barbie 2016...Pre-ordered...

BarbieCollector.com did something different this year with a limited doll- they let the members  ....drumroll....wait for it.....gasp! ....pre-order!!

Say it isn't so Batman! The dolly gods are de-boxing their No. #1's from 1959!

Mattel is allowing us to PRE-ORDER A DOLL! AND WE'RE MEMBERS??? Before the general public, before Tom, Dick and Harry???

I found this out from bdollrick on Instagram when I saw this pic and sure enough, went to the FORUM. There was a link posted in the forum where BFC members could preorder until 2/23/2016 , but you had to be logged in as a member. I went ahead and ordered.

She is the fourth in the series and limited to 4800 in the edition. She is also backordered until March 15, 2016. I went ahead and put in my pre-order, no way I am missing out on this one like I did on Elf, the first one who I am still fruitlessly looking for at a decent price.

Water Sprite Barbie    is the link to order she is priced at $100

She is a Model Muse body and uses the Karl Lagerfield sculpt.

She is now open to the General public for ordering, so you don't have to be a member of Barbie Collector to order. The website does not charge your account until she ships.

Really looking forward to this little lady....

Hi Lisa,
I ordered her as well, thanks for the heads up!! She's absolutely stunning! To be honest, this is the first time I have ever bought a Barbie in this price range, but she is so different and so appealing to me. When I first saw the promo photos of her, I knew I wanted to add her to my growing Barbie Collection. I am really excited to see her in person. I also ordered the Chilean Barbie as she's been on sale for $13 for a while now. I think her face is so beautiful.
Happy Barbie collecting! Now I need to stay off of that site for a while now, lol.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't all that pleased with her when I first saw the stock photos. She struck me as a little too on the playline- Monster High. I abhor Monster High dolls, no offense as I know there are some serious collectors out there, just not a fan. BUT, as I began to study the pictures of her, I decided to give her a chance. My reasons for this was Haunted Beauty Zombie. I thought the exact same thing on seeing her with that grey skin tone- and it turned out - she is one of my favorite dolls- go figure. THat was after seeing collector photos of her. Mattel doesn't do stock photos of weird skin tones like this little lady, so I'm willing to bet she is much more beautiful in person. I don't think you will be disappointed. I think the only disappointment will be the model muse body.

Ahh yes, maybe that is why I liked her so much as I do enjoy the MH line. What are the names of the other 3 dolls in this particular collection?

the other three dolls are Forest Elf-1, Lady of the White Woods-2, and Queen of the Dark Forest-3.

Lady of the White Woods and Queen of the Dark Forest are still available, probably on sale, at Barbiecollector, or watch for an upcoming sale. I know Lady of the White woods did not sell out and neither did the the Queen of the dark forest. That is why the numbers on this beauty are so limited. Forest elf, the first one, was limited to about 4400.
