Here is a sneak peek of what I am working on....
This is a fairly small pic of the project and my progress so far. Keep in mind- I'm not done yet!
The doors and windows have been stained a dark stain. I never liked the color of this door I had stained it- a golden oak miniwax, so I just stained it a dark walnut. The windows came out great. One window needs some repairs over there on the upper left. I had pinned the two pieces together to see if they would work. Still alot of work to do as far as embellishment on the exterior of my haunted mansion set exterior. This is ambitious- it measures 40 inches high and 30 inches wide! The depth is still to be determined as I'm still working on the depth but going with roughly 20 inches. It is taking up a 6 ft table that I am building it on. Right now this is Set A. Set B will be the back of it. I may eventually need an additional 4 ft table at the front if I keep adding additions to the front.
Though I did not want to give away my progress, I have a bunch of friends asking- 'So Lisa, when are you going to do some of your awesome Halloween pics/dioramas?" and I didn't even know that many people followed the blog or my flicker album until I looked at the stats on flicker this morning- over 2 Million! So thanks so much everyone for viewing little ole me and my small world of minis and dolls.
The progress so far is slow going because I am now trying to find the perfect wall treatments/paper for both downstairs and upstairs. I got the floor done on the interior foamboards today but I'm going for Elegant Halloween and a combination of many things as this diorama /gothic mansion will be used for alot more than just Halloween. I found some papers the other day so I may go back and get them if there are enough.

The windows being at slightly different heights is a nice realistic touch (although it occured to me now that it might be just the camera angle or something).
Thank you. This is a rough pin up with the windows just in their placement, not glued in yet, and not embellishments have been put on the front either. The front will also have vines, and some other spooky stuff when I'm done too. Made some more progress yesterday, hope to make some more today.
