My birthday....

Today is my birthday and I thought long ago I would have all sorts of dolls and loot to share. But after I added up all of the cool dolls and loot it came out to a pretty penny and so I decided there were things I wanted to do, versus have, this weekend. But I did get some dvd's and one or two items today.

First, this week I got a total makeover, with a tanning package.
I had my hair cut and styled with highlights. Forgive the weird look on my face but it's hard to take a selfie.
Then it was on to today's gifts! The hubcap gave me some yankee candles of Bahama breeze and another one that smelled great with a mushy card, I loved it. We had lunch at the historic Hanover tavern not too far from us- this is where Patrick Henry's in laws owned it and he lived while practicing law at the Hanover courthouse across the street.

We had brunswick stew, and homemade chicken salad with cranberries & greens, on toasted rye, with old fashioned fries and a dill pickle, and iced tea. I've been watching what I eat so this was a big treat. The chef has different specials every day and it's all homemade. The stew was made with chicken.

The hubcap had brought me some flowers and I have two dvd's of movies I had been meaning to get.I wanted Blaze for a while now.

And onto some 1:6 stuff- an Ironman dress!

Tony seems to enjoy the dress on mini -me! It was made by toomanypictures or Susan on Flicker. Later I will post the link to her ebay.
I will have more on my birthday celebrations this weekend...tomorrow is dinner at Kenmore Inn, and a Harp concert with the Richmond Symphony on Sunday.  In between some other stuff too!

LOL..Thank you Billa and Farrah Lily! I hit the big 5-0! it is so hard to believe I'm 50! Feels like only yesterday I was lacing up my roller skates in my corduroys at skateworld when i was 16 and worrying about the prom. sheesh. You wouldn't believe how long it took me to figure out how to do that selfie, lol...
The ironman dress was so cute, I couldn't resist. I have a thing for the movie and Robert Downey junior, he is such a cool actor. I also love sound of music- the movie is older than me!by a few months, lol. and I love the music in it, I have watched it for years. My hubcap has planned a special weekend of stuff to do so it should be fun. Maybe I will find some more 1:6 stuff. I have so much stuff as it is!

Happy Birthday, Lisa! Sounds like you are having a wonderful time. So nice that you have things planned over an extended weekend. Both of my daughters have May birthdays, so this is a busy month. I remember seeing pictures of the Iron Man dress on Flickr. Really nice. Oh, love your make over too. Your hair looks really sassy! Have a great weekend!

Thank you Phyllis. It has been a very long time of 5-7 years since I did anything out of the ordinary, since usually I & hubster are so busy with the two businesses that we never really celebrate our birthdays or were too strapped and just went out to dinner or something, we never made a big deal out of it. This year since I have closed down my business, and we are more focused on his- well I have more time to breathe and think of things like birthdays, and well, hair, going to the spa, etc, lol. I decided I just wanted to do something on my birthday for myself other than worrying about orders or invoicing or business and have a weekend of fun, no worries, great food, see some sights, spend sometime with my hubby and my dad, and so on.Maybe some doll stuff soon.

thank you everyone I just checked back here. It was a great birthday and so many wonderful birthday wishes. Had a great weekend and though I didn't get much dolly 'loot' I had moments which last so much longer!
