Poppy at the Gardens....

I had a great day on my walk at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens today. I am pleased that I hit the three mile mark. Whew! I like to go and spend an hour or so and take my time in the early morning. Today I took a little more time as I took a doll to photograph. I took Starlight Poppy, one of my favorite 2014 Convention dolls.  There are more photos on Flicker and I hope to put some more up on Instagram

I have always wanted to do some stunning outdoor photos and I think I hit the mark on this one. She looks so cute with her feet in the water. One of the reasons I like Poppy and Misakis over all other dolls is because her feet are flat, like a real person's feet. Her body is like a real person's body, in their youth. The unrealistic proportions of the FR2 just doesn't do it for me, especially their feet. I could never do a shoot like this one of those dolls. Poppy has a natural look about her that brings nature into a photoshoot and makes it believeable. I'm calling the summer pictures on Flicker 'Poppy Junction' in honor of that TV show 'Petticoat Junction', LOL...
Enjoy!

Hi Lisa, this is a great photosession!
I don't have the courage to take my dolls outdoors, but the results are wonderful. Poppy is really cute, and I love the gardens!

Great shots Lisa! I really like the Poppy
dolls too! Now that I have joined the W Club, am hoping to get a few more of them.

Thank you Billa and Phyllis! I admit to being apprehensive to taking the dolls out when people are about. No people were around when I was staging her, thankfully. I hate people watching it is distracting when I am intent on getting a good shot.
Phyllis, you won't be disappointed but will become addicted!! The dealers do not help! More are supposed to be unveiled in July!
