Hobby Lobby Alert- 1:6 scale Patio Chairs!

I have been meaning to post this as I had purchased some adorable little patio chairs when I was in Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago to purchase some craft supplies. I found these adorable 1:6 scale patio chairs in bright pink and they also came in yellow- there was only one yellow which I did not buy at the time, but I did get two pink. They fit Barbie and Fashion Royalty and Poppy Parkers really well. They were priced at $8.99 each.

I used my potted plants from Michael's to create a backdrop on my front handrail. Nothing says Poppy Parker or Barbie like "Pink"

Nothing like being 'In The Pink!"

Christmas in August...at Hobby Lobby

One of my all time favorite stores is Hobby Lobby.  It has everything. Michael's and Joann's has nothing on this place. The one nearest me is an estimated 30 miles away but worth it. I live in a rural area so everything is about 30 minutes away, lol.

Christmas in August? yeah, that's what was happening when I went in. I am a nut for Christmas so no better time to plan the dolly Christmas than now, right? I originally went in there with my 40% off coupon to get some 1/2 inch foamboard and other little items for diorama building. So hold on and let's go Christmas shopping! Remember, it's only 140 days until Christmas!

I ended up getting my foamboard and some Tim Holz items. Trying to figure out some backgrounds to set up for photo shoots for my new Vanessa and the IFDC Professor I just deboxed.  I also want to take some more photos of my new Poppy as well. Enjoy!

The 1:6 scale Marketstall

Today was a busy day because the W Club dealers unveiled the new dolls for sale and I was busy placing my pre-orders. I will have more on that later, as I'm sure there are a ton of other blogs out there that have already reported on the hysteria. If you haven't gotten in on that yet, check the sidebar on the blogs I follow.

I have been awol lately because I have been working on a couple of side projects. One is a little pumpkin house for my little Fairyland Realpuki bjd that I never finished, and another is a 1:6 scale marketstall. I came up with the idea when my Va. fashion doll club had been after me to teach them to create miniature food items out of clay. Since it seemed to come to the conclusion to take up a lot of time, I offered to do a short demo of how to make miniature bread instead, and give them a materials list to do it on their own later, so we could devote more time to the dolls/ and presentation .  What got me the idea of the marketstall was looking thru the items at Michael's and coming up with the design later. It was actually a planter to begin with and I bashed it into a marketstall.

Here it is. The diorama mushroomed into its own small town junction stop. I will probably do another one for fruits and vegetables, so they can be standing side by side. The gas pump just makes it, I think. I will probably be making another trip to Hobby Lobby for another Texaco gas pump and doing this as my summer diorama on the opposite side near my window in the doll room. I of course, created all the breads.

I hope you enjoy the pics. Both Poppys are wearing the new sparkle girls line. I adore my starlight poppy in the little overalls and daisy duke halter top, she looks so cute barefoot leaning up against the gas pump with the dog. I will probably take some more pains with this dio to make it look more rustic and small town-ish. The marketstall is raised to make it look like it sits on old wooden pallet crates with vintage signs on them, which I printed off the internet and glued on.
More on this later-
