Happy Hinamatsuri Day! On the third day of the third month, the Japanese celebrate Girls' day, or the Doll Festival- otherwise known as Hinamatsuri, with special foods and ceremonial dolls, displayed on steps draped in red cloth with special furniture, brought out for this ceremonial occasion. (The boys have their own festival). Re-ment made a lovely miniature set which I was fortunate enough to purchase from a dealer and have to this day , complete. My Joyful in Japan Poppy Parker is enjoying setting it up this year to celebrate the Doll Festival.
