Va Fashion Doll Club January 2026 Meeting

Yesterday was the Va Fashion Doll Club meeting for January 18, 2026 and we had a New Year's theme for our meeting. Our doll display was ringing in the new year so we brought dolls in ball gowns with a partner in tuxedo and it was a lovely display created by Janice, who had alot of fun creating the display.

Happy Holidays Barbie 2020

I have had this doll since late December when I ordered her on Ebay, she is one of 7 or  8 of the last Holiday dolls I have on my list. I have been attempting to order some of the Holiday dolls in Hispanic or African American skin tones especially if they will look more stunning in those gowns then the caucasion girls because Mattel tends to use the Millie face mold which looks cartoonish instead of the Bob Mackie   or the Superstar mold, which I think is a better look for these dolls. That wide toothy grin is not pleasant to look at with a ball gown that is so cheap, it is very playline.  I found her on Ebay and the gold gown of 2020 looked very lovely on her with her hair. The box was very beat up and taped shut but she at least had her stand.  I felt at the end of the day I overpaid , but I needed her , so be it.
