Time to ring in the New Year of 2026! So hard to believe I have been writing this blog for so long, and sharing with so many dolly friends. I have not done a post on past reflections, and this year I decided not to--my new resolutions are just to enjoy what I have, be mindful of what I buy and if it fits into my collection and the space I have, and the direction for my collection. Here are some favorite photos from the archives-
This blog shows the progress of my 1:6 scale dollhouse, Maison de la Royale and the various projects I work on with my dolls and dollhouse collection.

Virtual Doll Convention Ann Fitzpatrick Sunny Days Tonner Doll
I purchased the Virtual Convention Tonner Ann Fizpatrick Sunny Days back near the end of November when she was debuted but did not have time with the holidays and my upcoming Countdown to Christmas blog posts to take photos of her. She is 12 inches high and is the sister to Grace Fitzpatrick, an exclusive doll of Turn of the Century Antiques/ Virtual Convention and they are debuted in limited editions. There was another Ann debuted that was a wigged version which I would love to also acquire, and I would love to have the Grace as well. Tonner is working with Rachel Hoffman to debut these dolls and I have always been short of funds to acquire these dolls and their accessories. My Ann is so cute and I can't wait to sew for her and do scenes for the upcoming Christmas coming cards.
If you would like to check out the Virtual Convention- click here-
The dolls came sooner as Rachel explained because they packaged them themselves at the doll shop and they come in wonderful magnetic boxes. I had a couple of unexpected surprises in my doll box- an extra pair of shoes, a straw hat, a teddy bear for Ann to hold, plus her matching pink sandals as well as her stand!

Organized -Barbie Grolier Book collection
For a while now, I have been collecting the 1990's Barbie Grolier story books that were a book club series for girls from ages 8-12. I stumbled across them by picking one or two up at a book sale and somewhat getting hooked on them about over a year ago. Very well written by a host of authors, but what is really addicting is the series of dioramas using Barbie and friends and the props for the photo scenes!! I believe I documented some of the books I had acquired in a previous blog post, so this is an updated post with the remaining books I have since added to my collection. I am only missing one more- Barbie and the Resue of the Unicorn, which is the last book in the series I need to acquire.
If you would like to view my Flicker album on these books - click on this-
Barbie: Secret of the Three Teardrops- this is one of the two books that was sold with a doll, in historical costume. I am looking to add this doll to my collection.
Barbie: The Front Window - the 2nd book that was sold with a doll in historical ccostume. These two books I have but am still looking to add the dolls to my collection. Both books have wonderful sets/ dioramas and photos.
