Countdown to Christmas- DAY FOUR!

Countdown to Christmas- DAY FOUR!

This doll is a lovely 1992 Happy Holidays Barbie that I just recently acquired from Mercari. Her gown is silver and is beaded with crystals. One of the more beautiful vintage Christmas dolls that Mattel did back in the early 1990's.

Countdown to Christmas- DAY THREE!

 Countdown to Christmas- DAY THREE!

Today's Featured doll is 1991 Happy Holidays Barbie. I havent yet acquired 1990, there are quite a few I am still working on getting for my collection. This doll is simply delicious in lush green velvet with a matching purse, which few of the holiday dolls have.

This is one of my favorite of the Holiday Barbies, because of the loveliest way her hair and gown go together.
Enjoy more, as our Countdown to Christmas continues!

Countdown to Christmas- DAY TWO!

Countdown to Christmas- DAY TWO!

Day two of Countdown to Christmas is our lovely 1989 Happy Holidays Barbie. This doll is a lovely Barbie dressed completely in white with touches of red in her hair on she comes complete with an ornament in her hand. I also love the fur trim and tulle on her skirt. Long ago, my mother gave me this doll and I used to display her at Christmas, but lost her in moves. I was able to find her for a great price in the box- though the box was damaged. I was more concerned that she have all of her accessories as well as that frameable cardboard photo intact and her stand.

Countdown to Christmas - DAY ONE!

 Countdown to Christmas- DAY ONE

This year I am going to be focusing on Christmas dolls- Mainly Mattel's Happy Holidays Barbie that they put out each year.  So this year, let's start day one with 1988 Happy Holidays Barbie.

I originally had this doll many years ago when she first came out and displayed her in the box, then out of the box, but kept the box. She would be put away and then taken out each Christmas, the same with 1989 Barbie, for Christmas displays. At the time I didn't really collect Barbie, I was more into my 1:12 scale miniature dollhouses, but liked to see them with my Christmas tree displays, etc. For some reason they were lost, etc. and when I got back into collecting and decided I wanted all the Christmas dolls, I could not find them and so I repurchased them. I was lucky enough to find her and 1989 in the boxes with damage to the box at a good price since people put over the top prices on these dolls. Her stand did not come with her sadly, but I am using a stand that I did have which is okay for now.

Tune in tomorrow for more Barbie and Fashion Doll Christmas!
