1992 Happy Holidays Barbie has arrived!

It has been a while since my last post but I have been very busy! I found this holiday Barbie from a seller on Mercari and I was watching this doll but the seller sent me an offer for her at $13 plus shipping. Of course with Mercari you have extra fees and tax so it came out to $24 at the end of the day but she came with in a damaged box with her cardboard photo, stand and shoes and brush still in the package, and she was still attached to the packaging, which I have come to prize. She is really gorgeous. Here are some photos I took today.

Va Fashion Doll Club Meeting November 3, 2024

My most recent Va Fashion Doll Club meeting on November 3rd, 2024 celebrated Halloween a trifle late, but we all had fun. We all brought a doll diorama set up for Halloween and if we wanted to, we could dress up in costume. Our food could have cute Halloween names too. 

I created matching clown costumes from my fabric stash for Alan, Midge, Ricky and Scooter in honor of my own clown costume I had fabricated as Captain of the Clown unit in Ladies of the Oriental Shrine, which I took for Show and Tell. Everyone enjoyed seeing my character 'Butterbean' Overalls, embellished with pins and miniature yo-yos in designs on the holes and patches.

We also had our treat table where we bring our pink pumpkins from preious years and everyone stuffs the pumpkins (or bags for those that do not still have them) and that is also alot of fun- we have trick or treat Barbie style. I also purchased two dolls from one of the members cleaning out her doll stash - Teacher Barbie and I believe it is Unicef Barbie- she will be added to my Fourth of July dolls. I sold alot of my cake stash at the meeting too. My clowns won third place! That surprised me- all of the other dioramas were so indepth! So much fun and it was such a pleasant time. Can't wait for our Christmas party. 

 

Christmas Decorations at Walmart!

I have been shopping at Walmart and picked up a few goodies- I couldn't resist. One of the things I have learned from previous years is if you see it- grab it! Because it will be gone and boo-hoo- it will not be restocked! I recently found the 2024 Christmas Barbie Ornament- I have yet to purchase the doll- as well as one of those adorable ceramic xmas tree light up ornaments . I also got one box of the retro Christmas cards for $2.98! Will have to go back for more- my hubcap loved them. As well, they have the various clone elf pixie dolls- in various different kinds- Santa, the snowman, the little girl in pink, blonde boy, brunette boy,and more.
