A Dolly Advent Countdown to Christmas....Day 1..

I didn't quite know what I wanted for Christmas. Mostly , every year I feel blessed, but I want what every doll collector wants-DOLLS! So I decided to save up whatever dolls I purchased on sales, lotteries, etc. and that I would have a 'Dolly Advent' opening countdown, saving the most wanted doll for opening on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

So I chose Five dolls, purchased from sales, lotteries of the W club and the Tonner warehouse sale. My Tonner Moonlit Romance Deja Vu Anne de Leger, a gift from my wonderful husband, arrived today. Every time he goes online, he knows just what to get me!(snicker= I usually purchase my gifts myself, because the poor dear asks me what I want, -dolls..and then asks me to buy it as he does not know which doll is which. We joke when the box arrived today that he got an incredible deal, and it arrived just in time for Christmas. I love to see the smile on his face when we do this. )

Below is my loot.

So the three dolls to the left are Sparkle, Sparkle Poppy Parker. from the Cinematic convention collection; Idol WOrship Kyori Sato, also from the convention collection, and Stage Presence Veronique Perrin, a W CLub luncheon centerpiece doll. I had also purchased CI Style lab homme outfits, Sterling Riese and the Marilyn Monroe look alike CI doll, but had already opened them.

Then there was the Airways Poppy Parker giftset I won on the lottery chance, and I am saving that to open too. She might be opened Before Christmas.

Finally, there is the Tonner Deja Vu Moonlit Romance. I got her on the warehouse sale at 60% off. There was another Anne de Leger as well. The convention Tonner in this line is lovely and I am still trying to acquire her. I love the 18th century Marie Antoinette look and these dolls are just breath taking. So Ann may be a Christmas day doll.

Today, I opened Sparkle, Sparkle, Poppy. I probably will not re-dress her. I actually traded Ace McFly with Karon, my doll buddy as I won him in the lottery and Karon and put in the lottery for this doll and tried for Ace but didn't get him. I am glad I traded with her, as this doll is lovely. This will be one of my Poppys that does not get re-dressed.

Here she is in some silver and Gold Christmas photos!

Stay tuned tomorrow to see which doll I open next! Lisa

Robert Tonner Made me do it.....

...buy her I mean. He twisted my arm. Made her so irresistable that I couldn't help myself so I had to buy her on eBay, after she was sold out on
Ellowyne-Wilde website. With free shipping. Even after I swore I had no room for the 'big' 16 inch girls and sold all of my Tonners and Ellowyne dolls. What did I do?

I bought her. This morning. I caved.  Dallas Convention 2015 Vintage Tea Ellowyne . I got her $10 cheaper on Ebay with free shipping, just in the nick of time, before my heart stopped beating.

Isn't she gorgeous? She just screams that adorable vintage 40's WWll era
swing. I fully expect her to start cramming doughnuts next to the tea set she comes with,  and a miniature Rufus dressed in a uniform to start dancing with her. Robert outdid himself. He just didn't stop there. He did two more to keep her company.

Vintage Kitchen Lizette- she comes with a cute little pie

Vintage  Baker Pru- she comes with a little rolling pin.

Their outfits are divine. There was another Tonner doll I went ape nuts over too, but of course she's sold out- it's a Deja Vu doll. I will have to satisfy myself with Ellowyne right now and see if I can save up for her friends.

So yeah, the big girls are back in the 1:6 scale dollhouse again...and I knew it was only a matter of time before I gave in. The W club was tempting me too much this year. Also, I couldn't resist with these girls who obviously have baking skills!! They will look incredible with my American Girl Kit stove I still have and my Molly table and chairs. I will set up pics when she arrives as I have some new cakes I have made. With the bigger doll room I will have more room for the big girls and more room to do bigger dioramas for my doll bakery I have always wanted to do.

New miniature foods listed in my Etsy shop!

I have listed more miniature foods in my Etsy shop (link is above this blog post in the Etsy widget, click on it) namely, three new 1:6 scale bread boards. All of them are different, and each comes with a wooden bread board , stained. Each are priced at $10 with free shipping in the USA.

I also have moved into larger doll scales of foods and am having alot of fun creating in 1:4 & 1:3 scales. 1:4 scale is generally for dolls that I consider too slim/small for the 1:3 scale foods, such as Sybarites, Tonner dolls, Avant Guards, Ficon bjd, Inamorata fashion dolls, and slim bodied fashion dolls- their hands are far too small to look in correct scale next to 1:3 scale foods. The exception would be MSD sized bjd's who are meant to look like young children and not adults, both scales would fit them. 1:3 scale is generally for dolls such as My Twinn, American Girl, Our Generation, antique dolls, SD & MSD sized bjd's (dolls measuring 18-24 inches in height.) I am also experimenting with creating foods for dolls 68-72 cm bjd's who more or less are 'larger' slightly than 1:3 .  For now, I will post some pictures here of the larger scale items in 1:3 & 1:4 that are listed in the Etsy shop now.

*NOTES to my Customers!
I will probably not be listing any of my miniature foods any longer on Ebay either on auction or in my Ebay store unless it is s a special auction listing. For now, the store has no auctions or listings on Buy it nows at all, the ebay store is empty. One reason is eBay is not a viable place for me with its insane fees and restrictions and feedback policies on its sellers. I will be listing my miniature food items at reasonable prices on Etsy from here on in. Some large scale food items such as the 1:3 scale items may not have free shipping due to size and weight and they need to be packed securely to guard against damage, as well as obviously it takes more product, time and materials to create realistic foods in this scale. I will still be doing commissions, which are currently open.

Onto the pictures!
