Build-A-Bear Workshop Plush at Walmart

 Walmart is now offering Build-A-Bear Workshop plush and accessories with mini plush as well for prices between $9.99 to $24.99. I recently purchased a couple of the mini bears as gifts for a couple of friends of mine, as well as one of the mini bears for myself. The bears are perfect for your 16 inch to 24 inch dolls, such as Tonner, Gene Marshall and American Girl dolls. I put it beside my Anne Fitzpatrick, and while a little large, it could pose as an oversized bear for her. This cute pink one was one of my favorites in the mini series and it has a tag that you can write on. She is Coral Tie-Dye Bear .

Larger bears were about 24.99 and clothing prices varied. 

The mini animals were an assorted mix of bears, pigs, hippos, unicorns, cows, frogs, elephants, ducks, etc. They also had small t-shirts to wear. You could also buy two different kinds of mini assortment boxes for 24.99 which would be cheaper. This is a good alternative for the starter person who might not want to go to the Build-A-Bear store and spend a small fortune and be a little conservative starting out. You can always find used Build A Bear plush at the Goodwill stores in good condition barely played with that these clothing items might fit too, and the bears would be a fraction of the cost- $3-6 at Goodwill thrift. I have picked up some really great ones there. Enjoy!

Vintage 1961 Barbie Doll Carrying Case

At the last April Va Fashion doll club meeting, our members sometimes bring items for the 'sales' room that Debbie sets aside in her small living room. Members sometimes bring doll related items of clothing, accessories, dolls that they need to sell or move on to make space in their collections. Jodie was selling this vintage carrying case for $10 and I snapped it up quickly as I have begun the rabbit hole of collecting vintage Barbie carrying cases...lol.  

As you can see, I couldn't purchase this case for $10 on any of my platforms like Ebay, Mercari or Poshmark without paying shipping , tax , etc and this one is in excellent condition. Great condition. At the Barbie Palooza sale I purchased about three baggies full of vintage Barbie hangers and a bag of shoes- in the photos below I am showing this case with my vintage bubble cut doll and the hangers and shoes on the shoe box, as well as with my modified Sweet Sixteen doll.

I have a couple more cases, two are from my childhood, one is a round doll case that I picked up from somewhere in a case lot. More photos to come. Lisa 

2013 Happy Holidays Barbie

The last of my un-boxed holiday dolls! This one is a paradox- as I purchased her last year before my 25 days of Christmas dolls- and I was given the SAME EXACT DOLL as a gift by a dear friend for Christmas who knows I love and collect Barbie. I received her in December from my friend as a gift and had already purchased her on Mercari. Since I had not de-boxed her, I saved my doll from my friend and just sold my doll that I had purchased, since I did not need two. I have not had that dilemna before ! She is a lovely doll and I was originally looking to purchase her in the African American skintone because that doll looks amazing in this dress, with the white and silver, she is a lovely doll, but the prices are outrageous. So my budget called.
