Last Saturday, I went to Michael's and found they had a sale on many of their Halloween items. I found this cute Cheshire cat statue. I took some photos of it with my W Club Alice and my Mattel Mad Hatter.
This blog shows the progress of my 1:6 scale dollhouse, Maison de la Royale and the various projects I work on with my dolls and dollhouse collection.

I got photos done of Happy Holidays Barbie 2005 and this doll is simply gorgeous. She was one of the dolls purchased at Oddball's Collectibles and Claire's Antiques this past Saturday. This one in burgundy and silver is the regular edition, but they did a very special brunette edition in silver and green that I would also love to have as well. I am so pleased to have this doll. This doll did come with a stand. This particular doll is a Bob Mackie face mold and you can tell with the details, the attention to her jewelry, her hair styling, and the dress. She screams designer and Bob Mackie- I love his dolls. I thought she would look lovely next to the Gene tree decorated with the pink satin ornaments.
Dolls, dolls, and more dolls! Happy Holidays Barbie 2019 arrived yesterday and I took the photos for her yesterday. As I mentioned, she is an out of the box doll I purchased that appears to be in great condition, and again, I suspect this is a another doll that did not come with a stand. I had one in my stand stash that works well with her Model Muse body. That peppermint dress with the red bow and sash is lovely. She really is a stunning display doll for the holidays. The new dolls I am currently waiting on now, to arrive are the 2025 Happy Holidays Ken and Barbie from Barbie Collector. Can hardly wait for these two lovelies to arrive!!
On my thrift shopping Saturday-fun day this weekend I had planned to go to their monthly outdoor Flea market at Oddball's Collectibles and Claire's Antiques in Richmond , Va. Their shop was also open and there is a booth there devoted to nothing but Barbie and other dolls. One of the wonderful thing about Oddball's is they are truly a store for the collector- Christmas villages and ornaments, china, glass, jadeite, star wars, action figures, legos, blow molds, you name it, halloween, and the list goes on. I found not only two Happy Holidays Barbies there but also a grail doll of a set that I thought of only in my dreams - the Madame Alexander Mystery Blood Pool set - I found the doll referred to as 'Greed'. Madame Alexander a while back in 2003 created a set of dolls with a maid's outfit called 'Blackmail' and it came with a pool of 'blood' to lay the 'murdered' doll on. Each doll- Betrayal, Greed and Desire was dressed in a 1930's evening gown and came with a 'weapon' - a gun, dagger or candlestick, so you could play out your own doll version of a 1930's houseparty murder mystery. It was a fun set for scenes on the dolly message boards. I have already featured the doll I purchased, Greed in a previous blog post and today I am going to move onto Happy Holidays 2010 Barbie. This is a really lovely doll. Again, this is another doll that did not have a stand so I had to search in my box of stands for a suitable one for her. She also had a underskirt of cardboard that holds out her skirt very nicely, so I left it in, it looks better that way.
