Countdown to Christmas- Christmas Day Day Twenty-Five!

Countdown to Christmas- Christmas Day! Day Twenty-Five! Merry Christmas!

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year- and may all of your dolly dreams come true under your tree!

I hope you have enjoyed our 25 days of Countdown to Christmas that I do each year with the dolls. I have started to try and do new photos with the dolls and pull out dolls that haven't received much photo time, such as my Soulkid Katie ball jointed msd doll, and my custom Blythe Alice doll as well as my little bjd mouse.
Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!~ Lisa

Countdown to Christmas- DAY TWO!

Countdown to Christmas- DAY TWO!

Day two of Countdown to Christmas is our lovely 1989 Happy Holidays Barbie. This doll is a lovely Barbie dressed completely in white with touches of red in her hair on she comes complete with an ornament in her hand. I also love the fur trim and tulle on her skirt. Long ago, my mother gave me this doll and I used to display her at Christmas, but lost her in moves. I was able to find her for a great price in the box- though the box was damaged. I was more concerned that she have all of her accessories as well as that frameable cardboard photo intact and her stand.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more Countdown to Christmas lovelies!

Countdown to Christmas - DAY ONE!

 Countdown to Christmas- DAY ONE

This year I am going to be focusing on Christmas dolls- Mainly Mattel's Happy Holidays Barbie that they put out each year.  So this year, let's start day one with 1988 Happy Holidays Barbie.

I originally had this doll many years ago when she first came out and displayed her in the box, then out of the box, but kept the box. She would be put away and then taken out each Christmas, the same with 1989 Barbie, for Christmas displays. At the time I didn't really collect Barbie, I was more into my 1:12 scale miniature dollhouses, but liked to see them with my Christmas tree displays, etc. For some reason they were lost, etc. and when I got back into collecting and decided I wanted all the Christmas dolls, I could not find them and so I repurchased them. I was lucky enough to find her and 1989 in the boxes with damage to the box at a good price since people put over the top prices on these dolls. Her stand did not come with her sadly, but I am using a stand that I did have which is okay for now.

Tune in tomorrow for more Barbie and Fashion Doll Christmas!

New Christmas Barbies 1994 & 1997 have arrived!

I have been busy this month, so haven't had time to post much. But two new Happy Holidays dolls have arrived to be added to the Christmas Barbie collection.

1994 & 1997 Happy Holidays Barbie(s) which I purchased in a bundle/set on Mercari , out of boxes, with their stands and shoes. Altogether- $19.44 including shipping which equals out to $9.72 per doll. Not bad, and their condition is shelf display. Their hair is lovely, never brushed or played with. This is mainly what I am looking for in the older dolls, that they have their stands, shoes, clothing be unstained, no tears, all jewelry intact, not played with by a child.

1994 Happy Holidays Barbie in the gold dress-

1997 Happy Holidays Barbie in the red dress- she is such a stunner with that lovely long brunnette hair.

For a recap, I took photos with 1996 and 2004 Happy Holidays Barbies that had arrives earlier this month I did an earlier post on -
