The IFDC 2015 Convention Dolls unveiling....

If you haven't heard already, The IFDC, (International Fashion Doll Convention) unveiled some of its convention dolls, which were made by Integrity. There were other companies who also made special dolls such as JamieShow and Tonner, but Integrity pulled out all the stops. They usually put aside a few extras for their members in a special right to buy lottery. The theme for this year was My Fair Lady.

And here they are:

And there they are, in all their rare loveliness. I am not too crazy about the Erin's dress with that band of white on the bottom. I do love the one in pink and the Giselle. I have tried for all three even though my dolly budget went out the window. I guess I do without eating for a little while, LOL.. and those shoes! I love Giselle's shoes. Very lovely. I also love their hair. I really think Erin's gown would have been better without that ghastly white ribbon at the bottom, but nude with the black lace all the way down to the hem. More elegant.
If you're not a member and can't participate, Joe Bliteman has them on sale at his website and I believe Marlbe.com does too. ~Lisa

Dolly playdates....

Today I had a dolly playdate with my buddy Karon Montague, otherwise known on the Doll Divas board as KaronNVa and Sandra Sturman, or Gothic Cat Lady. We are all in the Va. Fashion doll club together as well as on the W club. Sandra also collects Tonner dolls as well as other kinds of dolls like bjd's, and one other of our group, Marina who just joined the W club and is still getting the hang of it, couldn't be with us (the Fun Four as we call ourselves jokingly.)

I had to take Karon a doll over to her as she had asked if I would use one of my NuFace lottery chances at the W club for her, and I said yes. I won Rare Jewel Ranya? I think it was for her and she was pleased. A lovely doll. I also carried over my three newest dolls- Vintage Tea Ellowyne, my Ruruko dreaming , and my 002.5 Barbie Basics I just got off Mister Dollface as well as a Victoire wearing a cute dress I had just made from a vintage Barbie pattern. Sandra brought three of her Tonner dolls. I took some photos of Karon's dolls too, we all met over at Karon's house.

Karon had out alot of her favorites. Here one of her dolls wears Chewin and plays the guitar while Josephine Baker sings...

More GLOSS convention Color Infusion style lab homme wearing Chewin suits and fashions. Also Lottery doll wearing a Randall Craig sweater with her dress, lovely!

Some Poppys on display...

More Poppys on Display...

Below are some of Sandra's Tonner dolls she hasn't deboxed yet..
This one is from Pirates of the Carribean . She also brought Lara from the Tomb Raider but I forgot to get a pic of that one.....

We had a fun day and talked about the new IFDC dolls! As well as the latest news on the boards of Doll Divas & Prego. I got Sandra onto the Prego board since she is so into Tonner and registered on her phone while we were sitting there. There is something about being with other dolly people that you can't quite make up for as they understand why you have dolls that have never come out of the boxes and why you spend more money on doll clothes than on your clothes! We were all laughing that we were all wearing outfits , exercise wear from Walmart yet were spending large sums on evening gowns for our dolls! LOL...Sandra had just purchased a beautiful gown she had brought to show us from a seller on Ebay, and we were laughing about how we had
downsized our wardrobes but our dolls had more extravagant dresses and wardrobes than we did!

All for now!~Lisa

Welcome...to the 8th Annual Mad Hatter's Tea Party!

The dolls have been waiting and are oh so mad to kill time and drink tea...

Alice has stumbled into a strange world where animals talk, cake makes you shrink and grow, Hatters are mad.....

As she wanders into this strange tea party, let's follow...and see if we can join her...in Wonderland and forget our cares of being on time, and paying bills, and leave real world cares behind...

And drink tea and eat lovely tea cakes and tiny candies with warm piggies at our feet.....

Unbothered by needless cares of the outside world....

Alice has stumbled into a strange tea party with the White Queen, the Red Queen, the Mad Hatter and the Doormouse having tea in a rather unusual room..where time has been killed....but tea still 'reigns'...

'You mustn't be late'....says the White Queen' It will make your tea dreadfully cold,'

The Red Queen is less forgiving. 'Off with your head if you cannot be on time!'
"Isn't that a little extreme for tea? I did not know the time...and you did
not send me an invitation....." Alice says..
"By Jove, she is right!" exclaims the Hatter. 'Tell me Alice, why is a raven like a writing desk?'
'Oh enough of your silliness. Very well. But don't eat my TARTS!' She yells rudely.
'Oh dear Lizibette, you do go on...invite that young lady to tea, there is plenty here. Do sit down and have some tea Alice!'
Yes Alice, do!
And so Alice has tea with all sorts of delicious crumpets and tea cakes, and listens to all sorts of fantastic conversations that she never dreamed of hearing before, which was quite pleasant and made her feel quite grown up and if she wasn't mad, even though she was quite sure everyone at the table was, because most people did not wear crowns to the table at tea...

Don't forget to visit A Fanciful Twist for their 8th Annual Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Where you can visit other participating blogs and 'blog-hop' with the white rabbit and other 'Alices' on this Mad day at other tea parties...leave your blog link in the comments, to say you were here, so we can visit too, for a couple of days...I will respond and reciprocate with some tea and cakes, and TARTS!
And so, we leave them to their tea in Wonderland, far far away....I hope you have enjoyed my 1:6 scale Mad Hatter's tea party.

Sneak Peeks of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party

As promised, I have some 'sneaks' of Alice's adventures as she wanders into to
Wonderland for the Mad Hatter's tea party on Saturday. Let's see what she is up to....

Peeking out from amongs the vines....

Oooh, her dress is so adorable...she's so Alice!

There appears to be alot of cakes, tea, and no shortage of TARTS!

And warm piggies for the Red Queen's feet while she drinks her tea....

All the sneak peeks for today!

I'm still working on a few details on this diorama for Saturday's Mad Hatter Tea Party, so stay tuned! ~Lisa

A Mad Hatter's tea party....

....is coming soon. A Fanciful Twist blog does this every year. I follow her artist blog and have done so for a few years and took part in it one year and stumbled across it when I saw Du Buh Du Designs tea party blog from 2010. All of the work that went into her tea party dolls just blew me away.

Here is the info on the Mad tea party
I will be participating, and at Vanessa's site, there will be a list of blogs that you can 'blog-hop' about, for two or three days, at all of the tea parties, and leave comments. She also has a very cool Halloween party as well!

I am attempting inbetween all of the chaos to get the dolls together for a tea party ...in some unusual scenes. So I will be taking a break from Ellowyne and getting the 1:6 scale crew together for that...

So remember...don't be late!
Especially for tea...

Or the Red Queen might consign you to painting the roses Red!

See you on Saturday for a mad spot of tea!

Ellowyne's Kitchen....

Vintage Tea Ellowyne has stolen my heart...and alot of my display space.

Let's face it. The 16 inch gals are enticing. Whether you are into the Avant Guardes, with their high end fashion wear by Jason Wu, Kingdom Doll, or Sybarites, where you must donate your body part, and have super fast high speed internet to snag one of those limited edition beauties, these lovelies tear into your wallets temporarily, but for the most part, whether it be Ellowyne & her buddies, Deja Vu, Tonner's Tyler Wentworth, Evangeline Ghastly, and the like, the 'big' girls take up space. So do their props and their displays!

Ellowyne needed a kitchen, and of course, being the prop whore that I am, I obliged. I went to the storage unit and pulled out my American Girl stove from the historical Kit Line. I am not sure if it is still carried, as they have recently re-vamped the historical line into the lame I believe or some such nonsense for little girls. It's American Girl, what can I say. But the props for 1:3 and 1:4 scale dolls - bjd's, and fashion dolls work very well.

This setup is temporarily sitting on a four foot table but will probably be taken down soon. I have it up just for display as I have some more food items I want to showcase too. The table and chairs are also American Girl, from Molly's retired line. The fridge is old, vintage. The pink cake is a commission I just sent off to a client.
Enjoy, and hopefully I can get some pics of Hippy Dippy Poppy Parker next! Lisa
