New W club luggage for the girls; Re-ment has arrived!

Well, my Re-ment Mickey and Minnie table set arrived- and it is simply adorable. I am thinkiing of getting another set, and maybe the stitch set as well, they are simply too cute for words. One word of warning- they are rather small for Silkstones and Fashion Royalty, will probably work with smaller Barbies such as Skipper, Tutti, Kelly and anthro and tiny bjd's, which is what I purchased the set for.
Also arrived- my Fashion Royalty W club luggage- they were having a sale and I couldn't resist. I cannot stress how well made it is- I wasn't expecting the quality. they are lined, and have clasp locks, and my girls can hardly wait to travel...Vanessa is already got a vintage hat in the hatbox. I also captured some pics of my new retro Becky doll- I still haven't unpacked her clothing from the box she came in, I love her facemold. I have so many dolls now that I have to switch them around. I am already planning my Christmas card, last year it was quite large, but I am attempting to figure out how to make it look even more interesting. I will attempt to get more pictures of dolls with the Mickey & Minnie set, especially the tinies. It does fit 5 inch dolls quite well, I put a tiny Betsy McCall Tonner next to it, and she looked quite cute. For scale wise, I would estimate it at 1:9 scale for a Hitty doll vs. 1:6 scale.eNJOY THE Pics!

I see Mickey & Minnie in Rement...

I gave in this morning and ordered the Rement Disney Mickey & Minnie cafe table set...The Disney items that Rement has come up with are absolutely adorable! Hopefully this little gem will get here- am thinking of ordering another if it gets here and is the size I need. Perfect for my mischevious tiny BJD's the brownies. Rement is so cute, and perfect scale for the tiny bjd's, it sometimes falls into between 1:12 & 1:6 scales, which works for dolls that are a little taller than the normal standard dollhouse scale. I love Mickey and Minnie- so this will be a new fun thing to collect!

School house Project for the Tiny bjd's...

Well, I have been collecting tiny bjd's and am totally hooked. Also that requires an additional obsession for Re-ment and Megahouse. In buying the Re-ment American Life schooldesk and lunchbox, I thought how neat it would be to have a one room old fashioned schoolhouse for the tinies to go to school, since they look adorable in the tiny desks...I decided to try altering a one room cottage I already had, that I never made into a golf shop like I wanted to, but had painted and decorated. Today I tried placement of the desks and the tinies, and threw in a Kelly to see how crowded it would be...

As you can see, I have four desks and lunchboxes so far, with the Kelly and Maizie and Dixie, it is pretty crowded in the schoolroom, very little room for a teacher, teacher desk, and other school house accessories. Sigh, back to the drawing boards as far as the room goes. Here are some more comparison pics-

Here is the front of the cottage, with the tinies on the front stoop. It may work temporarily, but my plan was to acquire a Dollfactory mouse or pig to be the teacher, and it will be quite cramped.

So right now I am looking at making my own schoolhouse from scratch, or from a kit that would fit the right dimensions..All for now...

New eyes for Maizie!

Photobucket

Photobucket

I got Maizie's eyes from Denver Doll Emporium yesterday, along with the eye putty. Her eyes are 8 mm GLIB eyes, acrylic in the color Marigold. I did her faceup, but may change it a bit, I'm still getting the hang of doing faceups, and they are fun! It is true what they say about Tiny bjd's and potato chips, you can never stop at one! I am hoping to be able to bring home RealPuki Soso basic, and do the faceup on her. I have been working on a story about a small fairy that protects dolls or dollhouses, and Soso fits that character I am thinking of.

More later on the divas- in the one sixth scale dollhouse!~Lisa
