My other blogs...

A quick post to look to the left and you will see a new box containing links to my other blogs! Besides the One Sixth Scale dollhouse blog, I have three other blogs, two more active than the other one.

King William Miniatures & Collectibles- www.kingwilliamminiatures.blogspot.com This blog is an update with a link box to our Facebook page, and I usually post about new products, holiday specials, auctions under our two user ids- kingwilliamminis & pumpkinhillstudios on Ebay, and also updates to our website, and new products you will find in our retail brick and mortar shop. I have recently uploaded the most recent 1:12 scale Bespaq catalog pages, (some which is available for special order if not in stock) and also the discontinued catalog of the larger scale catalog of Bespaq, only availalbe through our website or in our shop. I encourage you to follow our business blog!

Pumpkin Hill Studios- down at the Pumpkin Patch- www.pumpkinhillstudios.blogspot.com
this is a blog of my larger doll obsessions, and other miniature projects and hobbies I have..I am slowly attempting to create a pictorial record of all of my dolls, whether miniature or not, and experiment with scales especially the larger scales of dolls, such as American Girl, antique dolls, BJD's, and so on. Since opening the shop I have taken up my doll hobby as far as collecting, and hopefully I can share my dioramas, dollhouse projects, and more with my fans. This blog is slow in getting off its feet, so please follow!

The YardSale dollhouse story www.theyardsaledollhousestory.blogspot.com

I started this blog a few years ago, and I need to really update it. Two of my dollhouses are rescues and I adore them- Tara, and Stawberry Hill Manor, which I purchased at yard sales and started refurbishing. I hope to do more with this, but may close this blog and catalog the pictures into Pumpkin Hill BLOG.

tHANK YOU FOR FOLLOWING!

Tiny BJD's...I'm so hooked!

I am thoroughly in love with my Tiny bjd's...they resemble small little girls, and who would know they were Brownie fairies??? Felix Brownies have me addicted and now I have my heart set on a Fairyland Real Puki basic Soso, courtesy of DDE (Denver Doll Emporium). I haven't yet ordered her yet, but am close to! I finished Maizie's faceup, andher eyes and eye putty are on their way from DDE.

I revamped alot of my collection this Memorial day weekend. My husband and I have made the huge decision to flip two rooms in our home, since it is so small. Our current den has a fireplace, and is a long room. The former living room is currently our dining room, where my MSD Gracie has her bedroom set up on the server, and my vintage Tara dollhouse is on an antique table also. Therefore, the den will become the dining room, and the now front room will become the living room area, with the television, etc. I & Chris have even picked out new furniture, that we love. Hence, we are now doing a system of sorting, cleaning and hauling away of old furniture, items that are not used, and the clutter that makes it difficult to clean.

Next weekend is the Barbie Club meeting and I can hardly wait! Our Barbie club recently raised $1000 with their annual yard sale- part of the funds from members' items goes to the Angel tree charity we do at Christmas. This month's theme is June, and weddings, so everyone will bring a doll in a wedding gown, there willb e questions for Ken, and we will have loads of Barbie fun. I hope to do a few scenes in the one sixth scale dollhouse with a picnic at their picnic table, soon, and also put on preorder the Mad Men dolls that are the 'IT' thing in Barbietown now.

Have a happy Memorial Day! Lisa

Felix Brownie BJD arrival Today!

We have an arrival today...my two Felix Brownie bjd's arrived today! I had hoped they would be here for my birthday, but were a little late. Well worth the wait!! I had ordered from Karin of Ajumapama USA, and with the scandal on Den of Angels board where Felix company went bankrupt, I was a little anxious that I wouldn't receive my dolls. But thank goodness I did! I ordered a full set Calix with the free head event, and an extra wig, and then an extra body. The other brownie has already received her name, she is named Mae...she is so quiet, well mannered, and cute. The only thing she needs is eyes and an adorable little new dress. Calix will probably have her name changed to protect the innocent...she has got so much 'tude. I can tell this little one does not like to Share, and I'm not sure how Gracie will feel about the new tinies roaming about in my purse....
They both arrived priority mail, in an adorable little bookbox with blue ribbons. Hmm, with my recent obsession with Tim Burton's movie Alice in Wonderland, I am thinking my Calix might make a wonderful Alice! or maybe an anagram of Alice, like Alicekins, something cute....don't know how the divas in the one sixth scale dollhouse will react to them, but they already love it there!
Enjoy the pics!

That darn free shipping code...on Barbie Collector!

A28774 is the free shipping code on Barbiecollector.com and I made out like a bandit today with the new sales. Browsing the DOll Divas message board this morning, I found this little gem. With free shipping and the n ew $40 reward, I was able to buy Sandy Grease doll for $10, Becky giftset for $35, Malibu Barbie repro for $18, the jewel tones barbie makeup for $10, and the Generations of Dreams barbie for $15!!!! I have already been able to trade the Sandy doll on the bbc board for some Kelly outfits for my two new Felix Brownie bjd's coming in...I haven't yet decided on their names, but their cottage is coming along.
My birthday was awesome, I had a cheesecake with strawberries, blackberries, and chocolate sauce with whipped cream that I shared with my family and friends, much better than a plain old birthday cake! I bought myself a neat Re-ment Alice in Wonderland tea set, with the cards that you actually put about the tea items. I am currently planning on buying Mattel's Mad Hatter (should have bought him today, but ran out of money!lol) as I want to do the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland tea scene. My pillow talk Poppy will make an excellent 'tall' Alice, thinking of using one of the Brownies as an Alice........ I think my next bjd acquisition will be a Pipos mouse, for Doormouse, and hopefully a Cheshire....All for dollyville news so far!~Lisa
